Sword Dancer
Sword Dancer is a fun alternative to Strider, and specializes in high dps potential in large mobs of monsters. Despite this, it is quite squishy, but has plenty of mobility. It utilizes summons to deal extra dps alongside its normal skills, and can achieve its highest potential dps in large mobs of monsters due to its summons activating on attacking enemies at a low chance. It is a mid-range dps class that can kite and maintain distance between themselves and mobs of monsters with ease.

Become a Sword Dancer by following the steps:
1. During character creation, choose Warrior. Your choice of weapon and skill set at this stage does not matter, as you will be changing to blader at level 50.
2. At Lv. 50, advance to Blader. Blader is a dual blade wielding job that utilizes combinations of the normal and hard attack keys to deal large amounts of dps in a short period of time. It utilizes a series of buffs to increase their overall damage output or provide other utilities as well.
3. At Lv. 100, advance to Strider. Strider is the 3rd job of the Blader line, and gains additional combos and attacks along with the “CP gauge,” which increases as combos are made. The points in this gauge can be used for Strider’s new “Special Weak Attack” and “Special Hard Attack” keys. If the combo ends, the gauge will reset.
4. At Lv. 140, switch to Sword Dancer. Sword Dancer is available upon reaching level 140 and appears as a tutorial quest. The player can job change between either Sword Dancer or Strider every 30 minutes. Each class utilizes different equipment and skill sets. The user can perform this job change at the map “Orca Area 1” at “Infinite Corridor” on the Freios continent.
2. The Basics
The Sword Dancer
Sword Dancer utilizes its high hit count to dish out damage quickly. The primary function that makes Sword Dancer function very differently from other jobs is the ability to cast some of their skills up to 3 times each. This allows Sword Dancer to cancel their skill combos when necessary, or prolong them for more damage.
Summons
Sword Dancer gains a total of 3 different summons by the end of the game. They get their first summon at level 140, “Sword dancer Ultimate [Master],” which causes giant great swords to erupt from the ground at a small chance when attacking enemies. Their second summon is obtainable at level 145, and is the breath and life of Sword Dancer, giving them the extra dps they need to stay relevant. Their final summon is achievable at level 217, in the form of their 13th legend skill, “Survival Instinct.” This skill is a buff that causes a volley of rainbow swords to rain down on enemies at a small chance while attacking enemies.
Knowing your Limits
Unlike the 4th job of the blader line, “Blade Master,” Sword Dancer does not gain many forms of defense early on and must rely on maintaining its distance and paying close attention to what is going on during a battle. It sports a highly aggressive and mobile playstyle that all help it in repositioning itself and maintaining a good distance between itself and enemies. The predicament here is that sword dancer achieves its highest dps by facing multiple enemies at once; however, has little defense to support it to achieve this dps. This makes raising a Sword Dancer somewhat difficult; however, the dps achievable towards the later end game is rewarding.

4. Skill Builds & Tips
Skill Build 1 (Level 140)
This build is the recommended build to grab at level 140. Focus on leveling the learned damaging skills, and Ultimate [Power] and Ultimate [Master]. Once Luminous Destruction is level 10/20, grab Luminous Destruction III to get the final hit of this skill. Upon level 145, Sword Dancer gains access to Ritual Dance, the key component to Sword Dancer’s dps. It is a summon skill that deals many hits and has a very short cast animation.

Skill Build 2 (Level 200)
This build is a continuation of the recommended level 140 build for Sword Dancer. It simply maxes the levels of each recommended skill and begins adding more points to your damage passives. By level 200, this is is one of the most optimal PvE Sword Dancer builds. As you level past this point, you may want to finetune the build to suit your own needs. This could include dropping certain skills or learning different skills to suit your own unique playstyle.

Skill Build 3 Specialized Build (Level 214)
This build is an alternative build based around the Aspect of Dissolution set. Also known as the Red Palace Set. The build focuses on stats that scale with attack to maximize its efficiency. Infinite Sword Play becomes the most effective skill to rely on, it scales very well with attack and has a very short startup time. Sword Summon I + II become hard hitting skills with short cooldowns and have roughly two seconds of stun. They won’t be your primary attack skills but a stun proc gives you the opening to use your dps skills such as L4 and Execution safely.
This build is suggested for players who wish to focus on the ability to knockback and stun incoming enemy mobs as a primary form of mob control with less kiting while still keeping Lv 10 Psionic Thrust for emergency mobility. The physical resistance passive and defensive skill tree helps to manage the extra hits a more stationary Sword Dancer may take.
A good alternative build would involve taking points away from the physical resistance passive and maxing the critical damage passives instead. Making two builds with both setups is ideal, as more crit damage will help for farming, and the other for surviving dungeons while still putting out damage.
Use extra base attack buffs where possible to help this build shine more. (Ex: using Reputation attack food over the TDD food once your TDD is high enough) What the build lacks in DPS it makes up for in knockback and stun procs. Allowing you to continue comboing safely in mobs.
Ritualistic Dance is still your key DPS skill, but Infinite Sword Play also becomes bread and butter at close range in combination with it. Luminous Destruction and Psionic Execution are still powerful skills, when your knockback puts distance in between you and your mob, you’ll use them next. Flashy Sword Play and Legend Skills are fantastic in large mobs for getting multiple procs of your Ultimate going. Sword Summon I and II are situational, they can be used while kiting to stun a couple of mobs before laying down your DPS skills, or are used in between them to KB and reduce the damage you’re taking. Sword Summon is also good for putting damage on bosses who like to cancel your skills, as your longer animation skills such as L4 take time to deal its full damage. If they can be stunned, it gives you the opportunity to safely throw down your burst damage!
Good rotations/follow-ups to use:
Infinite Sword Play > Sword Summon I : When mobs close in, Infinite comes out quicker and can stop mobs from getting an attack in, once they’re bounced in midair on the 3rd hit, Sword Summon I will knock them away without its startup leaving you vulnerable. Afterwards, you can drop a Ritualistic Dance into your L4/7 while the mob recovers from the stun/KB. This is a safe/defensive combo to start up your DPS skills which usually have some wind up time or may not KB mobs in an attack animation.
Ritualistic Dance> Flashy Sword Play/L4>Infinite Sword Play> Luminous Destruction/Psionic Execution: Lure the mob into Ritualistic Dance first. This rotation brings a lot of damage from the first two skills triggering so many Ultimate Summons. Infinite Sword Play into Luminous or Execution will knock away what’s left of the group. Ritualistic Dance should almost have cooled down by then if you have enough CDR from gear.

Skill Build 4 Specialized Build (Level 219)
This build can be selected once enough cool down rate has been accumulated, and the 4th, 7th legend skills and 4th Legend II skill have been learned. This build focuses on increasing the Sword Dancer’s damage output in large mobs of monsters. This is achieved through the skills “Guidance of Darkness” and “Shout of Rage.”
It is optimized for end game play, as it provides a decent damage escape option in the form of Samurai Sword with stages II and II learned, and excellent ranging options in the form of “Psionic Execution,” “Ritual Dance,” and “Luminous Destruction.” With dropping an attack skill, the points can be put towards passives that greatly boost SD’s damage output.

5. Gearing
Sword Dancer scales best utilizing the Aspect of Ascension Set (Black Set). Sword Dancer’s skill damage modifiers are fairly low, as most of them are multi-hit skills that hit a minimum of 5 times. Raising Strength and Static Damage are very good ways to boost a Sword Dancer’s damage output for this reason. Sword Dancer’s ultimate grants the user 30 Defense Penetration and 200 Attack. Because of this large attack boost, Attack % can now give Sword Dancer a noticeable boost in damage, especially on skills such as “Sword Summon” and on “Infinite Sword Play.”
