Parties

You will eventually come across challenges in Nine Dragons which, try as you might, can't be overcome with one person alone. You'll need to form a Party and combine your efforts.

While in a party, you can see the Life and Vital Energy of all party members, and their locations will be displayed on your mini-map.

One player, usually the one who organized the party, is designated the Party Leader, who can set the Loot and Experience Distribution for the rest of the party. Individual means that whichever party member would normally receive credit for killing an enemy will receive all experience and item/gold drops from party kills, while Shared means that experience and/or items and gold will be distributed fairly among all party members.

A party leader may designation someone else as leader. If they leave the party without doing so, then another party member will be made the new leader automatically.

Chat Window

Chat refers to the entire collection of text messages you send to and receive from other Nine Dragons players.

Each messages comes from one of multiple Channels, based on where it came from and who can view it. You can hide messages from the General Chat, Whisper, Party, and League channels, and clicking off the check mark next to them above the chat window.

The Blacklist hides all chat messages from a specific character. It does not affect other characters on their account.

You can change the default channel for chat messages you enter, or you can preface your chat message with one of several characters, to automatically send it to that channel. Click the General Chat button on the lower-left of the Chat Window to change your default channel, and see the characters for each channel.
