The War of Nine Dragons
In ancient China, there were nine heroes: the Dragons. Each lead their respective clan, and competed with the others for supremacy. This competition escalated, eventually leading to the War of Nine Dragons. Alliances shifted frequently and close friends one day might become bitter rivals the next.
The raging battle of the War of Nine Dragons eventually burned itself out, but the suffering it caused lingers on. Only six of the clans are known to have remained intact once the war ended, each resurfacing to seize power and influence in the wake of the war.
And so begins the next chapter, in the tale of the Nine Dragons…
Although many of its names and locations are drawn from Chinese history, such as Shaolin Temple and Wu-Tang Mountain, the story of Nine Dragons is presented in the style of Korean fantasy novels. The world of Nine Dragons is a fantastic re-telling of Chinese history, where you can learn incredible martial arts techniques from one of six rival clans.
All clans in Nine Dragons align with either the Black band or the White Band, and it is this approach to the study of martial arts which irrevocably divides them. Black Band clans pursue personal goals and individual power, while White band clans stress discipline and traditional Chi-gong techniques.
Each of the six clans offers three distinct paths towards martial arts mastery. Your choice will not only affect your martial arts techniques, but the way in which events unfold as you travel the path.
